In my view, Covid is a mix of temporary and chronic illness, with a heavy weighting on the chronic side. There are some problems that may be solved by the State, but it is largely a result of the actions that individuals take without knowing the consequences.
Some solutions, such as better diet could be implemented immediately if individuals chose to do so, but the emotional, social and traditional ties to food often make change a very slow process.
Other solutions require a societal change in terms of the food production, processing and preparation, medicines, chemicals, industrial processes and resource extraction we employ to maintain the lifestyle we want. It could take decades to make meaningfully impactful change.
